A bold perfume with a strong character. The green, explosive notes of galbanum blend with the powdery notes of iris in perfect balance. The last fragrance that Gabrielle Chanel personally co-created and wore. A composition without concessions, entirely in the image of the fashion designer.
composition
A bold floral-woody-green fragrance that plays with contrasts.
A perfect balance between the explosive green notes of galbanum and the ultra-fine powdery notes of iris pallida. A more floral, rich, softer variation with more intense notes of ylang-ylang, lily of the valley and rose.
inspiration
N°19 is an iconic CHANEL number.
The last perfume that Gabrielle Chanel personally co-created and wore. A fragrance in homage to her date of birth, August 19, 1883.
The idea of creating a new women's fragrance was greeted with doubts by her loved ones as to whether another fragrance could coexist with N°5. Confident and stubborn, Gabrielle Chanel commissioned perfumer Henri Robert with a composition of equal power to N°5. She receives a completely different olfactory masterpiece: a contrasting accord of green and powdery notes. A few weeks after the launch of this new perfume, Mademoiselle died on January 10, 1971.
"To be irreplaceable, you have to be different." N°19 depicts the last stroke of genius of this extraordinary, daring woman with radiant charisma.
