Bright and lush, mysterious and provocative - Synthetic Jungle is a stylized landscape in technicolor green. An ode to the iconic perfumes of the 1970s, Synthetic Jungle offers a modern vision of nature reimagined. Not the literal representation of a jungle, but a dreamlike experience of green and warmth: natural and stylized, hyper-realistic and fantastical.
Flipo retained the opulent basil of the original composition along with a newly composed bouquet of hyacinth, lily of the valley, natural jasmine and ylang ylang oil. To modernize and sharpen the composition, she added synthetic black currant and styryl acetate, sending the bouquet through a shiny, sparkling filter. Flipo simplified the chypre and leather notes, resulting in a clearer, leaner accord. Finally, she added patchouli – one of the most complex and multi-faceted ingredients in a perfumer's palette, and also one of the most impressive.
